Explore the magic of the underwater world across Palm Jumeirah this festive season with a range of amazing activities. Palm Jumeirah is spreading joy this season with ‘Sea-Wonder’ parades, immersive activities, aquatic-themed decorations, sparkling Christmas trees, festive fountain and fireworks show and meet-and-greets with Santa. Festive fun runs from December 14 to January 29 2023.
There will be plenty of fun spread across Palm West Beach, Nakheel Mall, The Pointe, and The Palm Monorail, with dolphins, jellyfish, starfish, seashells and other wonders of the sea in an underwater-themed parade that will roam Palm Jumeirah from December 14 onwards.
Across Palm Jumeirah, the festive theme of ‘One Ocean, One Planet’ is aligned with ocean conservation and protection. As part of this initiative, 40 per cent of the illumination used is from sustainable or recycled materials. Visitors can participate by disposing of their plastic bottles in one of the three whale-shaped recycle points at Palm West Beach, Nakheel Mall and The Pointe.
Festive Start at The Pointe
Kick off the season with a dazzling lighting ceremony as part of Dubai Shopping Festival’s second edition of Dubai Lights on December 14. Families can gather to watch the festive fountain and fireworks show on December 14 and join the larger-than-life underwater characters walking around the illuminated promenades from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Visitors can also look forward to a hypnotic ‘Sea-Wonder’ carnival parade that will take visitors of all ages on an underwater journey and provide plenty of sharable moments from 14 to December 17. Visitors can also stop by the event plaza for a photo under the brightly lit, aquatic-themed arch.
Sea-Wonderland on Palm West Beach
Experience the beautiful underwater world by taking a walk-through a festive Sea-Wonderland on Palm West Beach. Watch out for the performers dressed as sea creatures in a musical parade on December 18. Running every 30 minutes, the interactive parade will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm.
Winter Fun at Nakheel Mall
Get into the holiday mood and start your countdown to Christmas with celebrations at Nakheel Mall, which will transform into a winter fun zone with activities such as an edible snow station, bubble spin and fishing games. Children can also learn how to decorate cookies, candies, ornaments and more through a variety of free workshops starting from December 15 to January 15, every day from 4 pm to 10 pm.
Families can head to Santa’s grotto for a free meet and greet session with Santa from 15 to December 18 and from 22 to December 25 between 2 pm to 8 pm.
Don’t forget to take a festive selfie by at least one of the two Christmas trees – and join the ‘Sea-Wonder’ parade will make its way from Al Ittihad Park to Nakheel Mall on 23 and 24 December from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Magical Afternoons at Golden Mile Galleria
Santa will be coming in his gift-filled sleigh to Palm Jumeirah and heading down the chimney for a free meet-and-greet at Golden Mile Galleria this festive season.
Get the children to bring their wish lists and say cheese for a memorable photo with Santa from 23 to December 25 between 4 pm to 7 pm.
