International Fashion Week Dubai (IFWD), organised by Opulence Events LLC, has announced that the next edition of the globally famous fashion event is to be held at the Sofitel Dubai, The Palm Resort and Spa from 5th to 6th July 2019.
IFWD Season 8 S/S will keep with the trends and will, once again, bring together designers and exhibitors from around the world for yet another successful and diversified show. Always aiming to bring different trends and fashions together, this season will also showcase the best of designers with their outstanding collections.
The MD and founder of IFWD, Ms. Cheryle Dias, mentions that Dubai is quickly growing into an international hub for fashion and business. For designers to focus only on their fashions, the IFWD becomes the biggest opportunity to participate and receive wider exposure and branding in local and international markets. The event will also add marketing value to their products by introducing them to various buyers.
The IFWD has set a benchmark in the fashion industry of Dubai. It has also attracted various international designers to the city to explore the market and set up businesses there. The event also gives opportunities for international and local designers to showcase their latest collections and attract buyers while also sustaining and branding themselves.
The fashion week will feature fashion shows and showrooms. In these events, 15 established and emerging designers will participate and showcase their latest collections. Many exhibitors will be branding their products at the exhibition. Over 20 media partners, bloggers and influencers will be a part of this great event. There will also be the International Fashion Awards and the Emerging Designers competition with top models from various nationalities stealing the runway.
The event will be attended by many from the fashion industry and society such as the royals, ambassadors, dignitaries, people from councils and fashion universities, influencers, bloggers, Chambers of Commerce representatives, entrepreneurs, fashion buyers and media from all across the world.
Season 7 of the IFWD was very successful with designers having participated from France, UK, Italy, India, Syria, UAE, Poland, etc. The event was attended by prominent members of the royal family which included H.H Sheikh Mohammad Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoom, H.H Sheikh Obaid Bin Suhail Bin Bati Al Maktoum, H.H Shaika Hind Bent Mohammad, H.H Sheikha Majd Al Qassimi, H.E Hind Al Habtour, H.E Sheikh Mohamed AlShalan, H.E Dr.Mona Saqra and H.E Laila Rahhall El Atfani (Ambassador of Goodwill). The fashion week was inaugurated by the chief guest H.E Suhail Abdullatif Galadari, the owner of Khaleej Times and a renowned UAE businessman. A lot of international and local media covered the event, along with many bloggers and influencers spreading news about it. Awards were also given out for various categories at the event.
IFWD is ranked as the top and most sustainable fashion week, not just in Dubai, but in the world as well. It has already launched its brand in Milan (IFWM) on 23 Feb 2019 with massive success and be will be launching in Paris (IFWP) on 29 Sept 2019. The year 2019 will also be very huge for IFW as there will a launch in Cannes during the Cannes Film festival as well as in London and New York along with the subsequent seasons in Dubai, Milan and Paris.
Fashion brands and accessory designers are welcome to participate in the fashion shows, and all other brands are welcome to participate in the exhibition.
The IFWD sustainability and credibility in the international and local market is very strong. Since 2015, the event has captured international and local media attention which gives it a huge marketing value, equal to the PR value of 1.5 billion USD.
