Nakheel: Fountain shows, firework displays, stunts and more for Golden Jubilee

Nakheel's retail and lifestyle destinations are marking the UAE's Golden Jubilee with an array of entertainment, activities and attractions, including an awe-inspiring acrobatic skydiving display, fountain and firework shows, interactive art exhibition and exclusive offers.

Celebrate the UAE's Golden Jubilee in style at Nakheel Mall, Palm West Beach, The Pointe, Ibn Battuta Mall and Circle Mall from Sunday, 27 November to 3 December.

Nakheel Mall

In honour of the UAE's 50 years of union, Nakheel Mall, the luxury shopping destination on Palm Jumeirah, will partner with renowned calligrapher, muralist and live art performer, Diaa Allam to display a one-of-a-kind exhibition: 'Spirit of the Union in Letters and Meanings'

Featuring 50 artistic masterpieces, the dedicated exhibition takes inspiration from the country's culture, values and growth journey, with each piece illustrating the meaning of the union. The captivating collection of artworks will also feature a virtual reality element, where visitors can watch 50 masterpieces come to life. All visitors need to do is download the 'Artivive' app and scan the artwork. 

Open from 27 November, the exhibition will be live at Nakheel Mall's first floor, opposite H&M, for one month. The View at The Palm 

Celebrate the UAE's Golden Jubilee on a high with spectacular views of Palm Jumeirah at The View at The Palm, the 360-degree observation deck by Nakheel, from 1 to 4 December. Children residing in the UAE that are between the ages of four to 12 years can enter for free when accompanied by an adult and upon presenting their Emirates ID.

Palm West Beach

In partnership with Red Bull, Palm West Beach will feature a thrilling acrobatic skydiving show led by Red Bull athletes Sebastian Alvarez and Dani Roman on Thursday, 2 December at 5 pm. 

Watch the jaw-dropping performance just before sunset as two professional skydivers put on an aerial spectacle with high-altitude acrobatic moves, stunts and dances. The Pointe

The iconic waterfront destination by Nakheel, The Pointe, will mark the 50th anniversary with a specially choreographed show at The Palm Fountain accompanied by a firework display which will sway to 'Bel Bont Al Areed" by Emirati singer and composer Hussain Al Jassmi, on 2 December at 8 pm. The world's largest fountain will light up in UAE's national colours of red, black, white and green. Atlantis will also celebrate UAE's glorious 50th with its own dazzling firework show on 3 December. 

With an endless selection of lavish restaurants and cuisines, The Pointe invites visitors to indulge in authentic flavours, culinary experiences and hourly fountain shows featuring hits such as 'This is our time', 'Ya salam ya Dubai' and 'Dubai is another planet' starting at 7 pm from 27 November to 3 December. Visitors are encouraged to reserve a restaurant in advance.

Golden Jubilee

Customers are encouraged to use taxis or park at Nakheel Mall and use free daily shuttle buses to The Pointe, available every half an hour from 5 pm to 12 midnight. Free shuttle buses to The Pointe also run from Palm Jumeirah hotels and residences and locations in Al Barsha, Al Sufouh and Jumeirah Beach Residences. Ibn Battuta Mall

Enjoy daily Emirati-inspired activities from 2 to 4 December at India Court featuring henna, traditional coffee, dates and lugaimat servings. Stop by China Court to watch traditional dance performances every day from 5 pm to 9 pm from 2 to 4 December, coupled with mall-wide roaming entertainment. 

Circle Mall 

Circle Mall at Jumeirah Village Circle will host a traditional tent featuring activities such as henna, lugaimat bites and Emirati coffee and dates from 2 to 4 December. 

Health and safety 

Strict health and safety measures will be observed during the festivities. Social distancing markers are in place, and regular sanitisation will continue to take place throughout. All visitors must wear a mask.
