The best tip to help you stick to your fitness goals I would say is for you to understand why are you doing it. Otherwise, it’s like being on a road going straight, but you don’t know where you are going. So put in your mind or on a piece of paper - “why?”
Whether your goals include getting that summer body, looking good at the pool or getting healthier, put it down on paper or make a mental list.
My other top tips would be:
- Leave your comfort zone. Stop making excuses ... ‘’I don’t have time! I’m too lazy; too sleepy; too tired; my dog is feeling sick...’’ These excuses will get you nowhere on the fitness journey. If you are serious about your fitness, workout will become a priority. You are unlikely to hear a motivated person making excuses for not working out. Instead, they creating a balance between keeping fit and managing family and work.
- Cook your meals at home! You say you don’t have time? Instead of waking up at 8 am every day, wake up an hour early to cook your meals. This way you keep track of what you eat and you know exactly what you put into your body.
- Get into the gym. Put your headphones on (this is what I do and I turn off the world completely), leave your thoughts and whatever issues you are facing and give the exercise as much as you can.
- Remember, your body can take a lot of ‘’torture’’... Your mind would be the problem. Try fixing that issue and you will see things changing.
