Updated procedures for motorist entering Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee has announced updated procedures for motorist entering Abu Dhabi.

For residents and visitors, entry into Abu Dhabi requires a negative PCR test that was taken within 48 hours of crossing the state border or a negative laser DPI test result that was taken within 48 hours.

The new rules came into effect on 5th September.

Volunteers of the COVID-19 vaccine trials are exempt from these updated procedures. They are authorised to use the emergency vehicle lane.

Violation of the procedures will result in penalties and fines.
