The Department of Community Development (DCD) in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee for the COVID-19 pandemic launched the ‘You Matter’ campaign, which focuses on boosting the mental health of workers by providing them with public health recommendations and services.

It is launched in eight languages and is created to reach people living in residential complexes.

You matter

The "You Matter" campaign connects workers with mental health professionals. Additionally, it encourages them to communicate with family and friends, find hobbies, learn and improve new skills, show gratitude, and use techniques to eliminate negative thoughts and stress.

The DCD has asked all workers to contact the dedicated hotline at 800 937292 to talk to a trained responder if they feel, anxious, sad or are entertaining thoughts of self-harm.

Hamad Al Dhaheri, undersecretary at the DCD, said that based on the results of the questionnaires they conducted, and with the partnership of competent authorities, a number of workshops and lectures in different languages related to mental health have been designed to reduce anxiety or enhance a sense of security to ensure an ideal and healthy environment.
